What does it mean?
If I am struggling, overwhelmed and overthinking then I simply PUSH AWAY and PUT AWAY what is bothering me TEMPORARILY. Then I distract myself with another activity. Then when I am less emotional about it I come back to help myself make a decision. The trick is you HAVE TO COME BACK TO IT!
We are not teaching Avoidance. We are teaching Regulation.
Maybe you try it this weekend by Pushing Away any work related stressed and planning on coming back to it on Monday. You might not of known you were already doing a skill.
