At Middle Path Counseling MO/KS, we are committed to providing high-quality, accessible mental health care. Our highly qualified, trauma-informed, and DBT-trained Masters-level interns currently have openings for new clients in Kansas and Missouri! If you or a loved one are seeking therapy, this is a great opportunity to work with dedicated and compassionate clinicians at an affordable rate of just $40 per session.
What Our Interns Offer
Our interns are carefully selected and receive extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a gold-standard approach for individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and distressing thoughts. Each of our interns brings a unique and valuable perspective, offering evidence-based treatment tailored to the needs of adolescents (ages 14+) and adults.
Additionally, each of our interns is co-leading a virtual pro bono DBT skills group, providing an opportunity for individuals to learn DBT techniques at no cost. These groups help participants build coping strategies, enhance emotional resilience, and improve interpersonal effectiveness.
Specialized Support for Neurodivergent & LGBTQ+ Clients
We understand the importance of inclusive, affirming care. Two of our skilled interns, Lili and Maya, specialize in working with neurodivergent clients and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you are navigating the challenges of ADHD, Autism, gender identity, or other experiences unique to neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals, they provide a safe and affirming therapeutic space.
