We’re excited to announce the expansion of our counseling services tailored specifically for adolescents aged 14 and older. Our dedicated Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Team is here to provide specialized support and guidance to young individuals navigating the complexities of adolescence.
What is DBT, you may ask? Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a proven therapeutic approach that focuses on building essential skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. These skills are particularly vital during the teenage years when emotions can run high, and life transitions can feel overwhelming.
Our experienced team of therapists is trained in DBT and equipped to address a wide range of issues commonly faced by adolescents, including:
- Anxiety and depression
- Mood swings and emotional dysregulation
- Impulsivity and risky behaviors
- Self-harm and suicidal ideation
- Peer conflicts and relationship challenges
- Academic and performance stress
We understand the unique needs of adolescents and create a safe, supportive environment where they can explore their thoughts and feelings openly. Through individual counseling sessions, group therapy, and skill-building exercises, we empower teens to develop healthier coping strategies, improve their communication skills, and build meaningful connections with others.
Whether your teen is struggling with overwhelming emotions, difficulties in relationships, or simply seeking guidance during this transitional period, our Adolescent DBT Therapy Team is here to help.
