Internship Program

Are you a Master’s-level student seeking hands-on experience in an evidence-based, compassionate, and client-focused mental health practice? We are currently accepting applications for Clinical Internship Placements for students pursuing degrees in Counseling, Social Work, or related fields.

What We’re Looking For

We are committed to training the next generation of mental health clinicians in high-quality, evidence-based practices — especially Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care.

We are looking for interns who are:

Willing to Learn – You don’t need to know everything yet. We want interns who are curious, motivated, and eager to grow through training, feedback, and real-world practice.
Reliable and Committed – This is a 9–12 month placement. We invest time and training into our interns and ask for a strong commitment in return.
Local to the Kansas City Metro Area – We require interns to be local so they can participate in our hybrid model of care (a mix of in-person and telehealth sessions).
Collaborative and Open – Interns will be part of a supportive team and expected to participate in weekly supervision, team consultation, and group learning.
